Italian born Francesco Lietti studied architecture in Milan and furthered his studies in Paris at the École des Beaux Arts, La Seine, and the Clerkenwell College of Printing in London. His works are featured in private collections worldwide.

Visiting Hong Kong for the first time in the summer of 2005, Lietti experienced an overwhelming sensation. So fascinated he was by the variety of colours, rich smells, and the plethora of images that he was drawn to return the following year and stay. His love of this vibrant, eclectic city is immediately apparent in his works. Through the use of striking colours the artist captures the essence of Hong Kong’s famous harbour skyline and makes it his own. Lietti also captures the colours and delights of other Asian destinations. The number of possibilities, stories, and adventures seemed limitless and ready for him to plunge into and explore: the aromas, tastes, and colours are almost inebriating. His paintings hover between reality and fantasy.

In “Colors of Asia”, Lietti shows a collection of his works while providing insightful, behind the scenes looks at the making of his paintings: the inspiration, the technique, the experiences, and the passion. Join us as he shares all this and get your copy now to be signed during his talk at TheBookshop!

Signed prints from two of Francesco's iconic paintings are available too.
