Ceramicist Winter Tsui was a mechanical engineer by training.  As a solution-based designer, she does not focus only on design function but also on its uniqueness and ornamentation. 

Winter believes “innovation is combination”.  In her planet pots, she combined a delicate planet ring with unrestrained splatters to create a calmness like in space.  

Urban element is also seen in her work, such as “Nature in wall” which is inspired by the tree holes integrated with industrial elements.
