A ceramics studio established by young local ceramicists Ryan Hui and Wy Lee, TOKI NASHIKI advocates that the goodness in life can be appreciated through the making and usage of attractive and functional pottery. Their works show unmistakably refined craftsmanship with timeless sensibility. Their charming, seemingly worn out and chipped small teapot, for example, turns out to be double-walled and perfectly usable. It exudes a sense of treasured passing time, carrying mysterious layers of personal histories. The duo has been actively teaching ceramics.
