We are happy to accept orders from all over the world. However, currently our online shop can only accept orders with delivery addresses in Hong Kong.
If you wish to place an order for delivery outside of Hong Kong, please email us at order@thebookshophk.com and we will customise your order for you.
Shopping Procedure
Once you have placed an order and completed payment, you will receive an 'Order Confirmation' email by the system automatically. We will send a 'Shipping Confirmation' email to you after we have dispatched your order within 3 - 5 working days upon receipt of payment from PayPal. However, during tightened Covid-19 regulations periods, please allow 6 - 8 days upon successful payment to receive your order. Thank you for your understanding.
Payment Method
We accept major credit cards via PayPal (Visa, Master, American Express and Discover). You can place your order and make the payment with your credit card without signing up for a PayPal account.

Our shipping rate is based on weight. The weight and shipping rate are calculated automatically during the check out process:
up to 1 kg - HKD 30
up to 2 kg - HKD 45
up to 4 kg - HKD 65
up to 5 kg - HKD 80
up to 7 kg - HKD 110
up to 9 kg - HKD 130
up to 10 kg - HKD 145
up to 15 kg - HKD 200
up to 20 kg - HKD 260
over 20 kg - HKD 450
You should receive your order within 5 working days upon successful payment. However, during tightened Covid-19 regulations periods, please allow 6 - 8 days upon successful payment to receive your order. Thank you for your understanding.
Pick-up
If you select to pick up for your order at our store, it is free of charge. You will receive a confirmation email from us when your order is ready for pick up within 3 working days for regular orders. Please check our store opening hours under “contact”. For Pre-Order items, please check the info on the specific item(s) on Pre-Order.
Cancellation, return, and refunds
As a small independent retailer, we are unable to cancel your order once payment has been processed. We advise you to review your order carefully before proceeding to payment.
We do not accept return or issue refunds. However, we do wish our customers to be happy with their purchases, therefore, please contact us should you have any problem with the order you received. We will work things out.
